Newsprint now in short supply

Neue Zürcher Zeitung – Up until only recently, sizeable overcapacities were a predominant feature of the newsprint manufacturing sector. But a wave of consolidations has transformed the industry landscape. Newsprint is becoming a rare commodity, and its prices are rising again.

The Tages-Anzeiger and 20 Minuten newspapers will be around four pages on average shorter than usual for the next two weeks.
