By means of mass testings in schools, retirement homes and companies, the Federal Council plans to contain the pandemic. The cantons have now submitted their concepts for mass testing to the federal government.

The CPH Group companies at the Perlen site are taking part in the pilot project in the canton of Lucerne to gather experience for future preventive Covid-19 tests on a weekly basis.  With these tests asymptomatic individuals infected with Covid-19 can be detected at an early stage and chains of infection can be interrupted. This provides an additional sense of security for the workforce.

Cantonal support is very important for the success of the large-scale testing campaign, comments Peter Henz, Head of Human Resources at Perlen Packaging: "The canton has an important role in ensuring we are equipped with the necessary testing material at all times, in supporting us accordingly and in securing the coverage of the costs for the tests by the federal government."
