Strategy

CPH is a diversified group of internationally active industrial companies. Each of its three business divisions maintains its own market operations, and is among the top three providers in its specific sales market.

The Chemistry and Packaging Divisions have an international presence and pursue a strategy of differentiation, exploiting growth potential through innovation, global expansion and constant enhancements of their profitability. The Paper Division operates in a fiercely competitive market, and strives to achieve and maintain cost leadership in its sales markets of Switzerland and adjacent border areas.

Current strategic thrusts

  • Expand capacities outside Switzerland to reduce the proportion of Swiss-franc costs.

  • Expand the Chemistry and Packaging Divisions as a counterweight to Paper. 

  • Expand in the growth markets outside Europe.

Our vision

The CPH Group is a balanced, diversified and profitable industrial concern consisting of three business divisions which each market their products independently in their respective markets. With its technology leadership and its innovative products, the Group offers its customers clear added value and thereby occupies a leading position in each of its market segments. The Group further focuses on markets that permit sustainable profitable growth.

Brand strategy

Each of the Group's three business divisions is active in its markets under its own consistent brand. All three divisions have been well established as "Zeochem", "Perlen Papier" and "Perlen Packaging" for several years now as reliable business partners in their target markets. In 2018, the new brand "APS" was founded for the procurement, sorting and trading of waste paper. CPH Chemie + Papier Holding AG, the Group's holding company, is not operationally active, but serves as an umbrella brand towards stakeholders, particularly investors.
